Two midwives have been charged with manslaughter over the death of a Victorian woman who suffered a haemorrhage during a home birth in 2012.
43-year-old Melody Bourne, from Mullumbimby, and 59-year-old Gaye Demanuele, from Preston in Victoria, were arrested by officers yesterday.
They will appear in Melbourne Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
