MAN CHARGED AFTER HIGH SPEED POLICE PURSUIT THROUGH TWEED SHIRE
A man has appeared in court, charged over a high speed pursuit on the Far North Coast last night.
Police chased the allegedly speeding car from Banora Point, to Tweed Heads South and back to Banora Point.
They say car hit a top speed of 160 kilometres per hour.
The chase ended when the vehicle ran out of fuel.
The alleged driver ran away, and was found a short time later, hiding under a nearby trailer.
