A Lismore police officer who allegedly sexually assaulted a teenage girl remains behind bars after his case was mentioned in court today.
The 29-year-old senior constable, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been given protection while in custody.
His case will return to Lismore Local Court next Wednesday, where it’s expected he’ll apply for bail.
The officer has been suspended from the force without pay.
