World Track and Field Championships

Two Coast athletes to represent Australia

The World Track and Field Championships commence tomorrow in Hungary, with two Central Coast athletes representing Australia.

Allanah Pitcher will make her senior debut in the 35-kilometre Race Walk on Day Six of competition, and is ranked 15th in a field of 49.

That’s followed by Nicola Olyslagers in the Women’s High Jump.

The 26-year-old has been in superb form and is the joint favourite in the event alongside Ukranian Yaroslava Mahuchikh.
