A 14-year-old boy has been airlifted to Brisbane Hospital with suspected spinal injuries after a car he was travelling in struck a power pole at Evans Head.
Police say the driver was on his L plates and was speeding.
Im the mother of 1 of the boys that was in the car. My son name is Liam Kane he is only 15. I know they shouldnt have been in the car Liam ended up with a broken collar bone an 2 broken ribs. I know 3 of the boys were very bad with a lot of broken bones. My heart goes out to their mum and dads. I know what they are going through.

IM 16 i was at my nan and pa’s the night of the crash, we were told after a 2 second black out that there had been a crash by my uncle. My Pa, dad , me and my brother got in the car and drove only a few meters up ther road. My Pa, Dad and Aunty help assist the boys, untill the ambo’s came. I was told that my pa and aunty were interviewed by NBN news the next day. For me being there on the scene only a few mins after the crash i was scared for the boys. My heart goes out to the familys and boys.
